It’s just a fun milestone. Not quite as fun as on the old odometers that had to start the physical turn several miles in advance and you heard the click of all digits. But still a fun milestone. 2017 model X 100D. Charges to 265 rated miles out of 295 miles original. 6 weeks left on the battery and drivetrain warranty.

I'm currently on car #34. The only one I ever put more than 100,000 miles on was a Buick Regal that I purchased new in 1999 and kept for 7 years because I was paying my way through college and didn't have the budget for a new vehicle. The other 33 vehicles I drove from less than 10,000 to about 55,000 miles before selling them.

I'll probably break the time record with a an MX-5 Miata I purchased new 6 years ago, but it has less than 12,000 miles on it. I doubt I'll ever put 100,000 miles on the same vehicle again.

A smarter financial decision would have been to still be driving the 2007 Honda Accord I purchased new to replace the 1999 Buick Regal. It would have close to 300,000 miles on it by now and most likely still be on the original, unopened engine and transmission.
