Well, your car is new enough that it's still under warranty. You can take your chance and ask Tesla to fix it. If they find that the cause is something that's loose or broken, it'll probably end up being covered by the warranty. But if they find that the cause was some marble or other foreign object, then be prepared to pay for it.

But I just don’t want to void the warranty by messing something up myself in the search for the rattle..
Don't worry - you're not going to void the warranty. That's a fear tactic that some dealerships/service advisors/mechanics use on people to stop the clueless from attempting things beyond their abilities. Sure, if you actually break something, then replacing or fixing the broken part will not be under warranty, but the warranty still applies to every other part of the car.

You might want to take a look at my recent thread where I tracked down the cause of a rattle from my Model Y's hatch.

I've got a rattle coming from the hatch of my Model Y. It's not constant - happens sporadically over some bumps. Does anybody have suggestions of common sources of rattles in that area so I know where to start looking? :)

Really sad that the Tesla Service manager I went to see for the noise coming from the rear of the car (subwoofer mounting bracket) in Monterey Ca was so aggressively unhelpful and unwilling to even begin to help me... basically told me to F off.. he really soured my feelings on Tesla service...
Yeah, understandable. Glad you were able to track it down. I might add some felt to that bracket too. Thanks!
