I don't know if I am daring enough (yet), but check out the lighted Tesla "T" from @EVANNEX. I'll grab a live look at Cars & Coffee this weekend!

At least they're in Florida without salt to start some rust there.

The logo looks kind of rounded compared to an actual logo to me, particularly the top section. Also...drilling 😵 and yikes, $300!!

Definitely a neat look!! Look forward to hearing your take on it after seeing it in person.

Definitely a no-go on the drilling. Could hide some copper strip under a vinyl pinstripe wrapping under the lip to the license plate light.

I’m actually not a fan of how it looks (bumped off of car) during daytime. I’m sure at night it’s awesome when that isn’t as noticible but having the foam divider between the logo and car (for the red light to show) would bother me. Also I agree that drilling holes put me into “nope” mode.

I don't like the way it looks at night, or in the day. I think the light is way too bright...something very subtle would have been better. Also, the logo doesn't look drawn quite right to me.

I am definitely interested in this but only if I can wrap the lighted T in black vinyl to match the chrome delete on my model 3. What I really want is lighted door sill plates from Tesland but it will be a few more months before they are out for the 3 since it just got to Europe (the company is based out of The Netherlands). https://www.tesland.com/en/illuminated-door-sill-plates-for-model-s/

You can get the lighted T in black from Jurgen (Tesla-Lights.net).

While I agree that the lighted logo on Mercedes cars looks tacky, I think it's only because they make their logo so dang large. The Tesla T is smaller and as someone suggested, if they made the light a little less bright, it would look better. Definitely not a look for everyone though, I agree with that.

Just stumbled across this old thread..... Love my lighted "T"!

Installed back in the summer of 2020. Mine came from EVENNEX and it's really not so scary to drill since an OEM emblem would completely cover any holes if you decided to remove the lighted one in the future. The two tiny holes are also sealed from the inside and out with included silicon. I realize were are now talking about a discontinued / semi black market item, but here's the details.....

There are two ways to install the T.
  • Option one, just tapping the license plate lamps to power the T it will be on full HIGH illumination always when either your headlights or parking lights are on.
  • Option two, which is what I did, you also tap the brake wire lead so that it illuminates on LOW when the lights are on, and HIGH only when the brakes are pressed.
I agree that High is a bit bright, but setup this way I love it along with my more recent dynamic lower signals.

I did mine a few years ago, and yes it does have the gaudy effect I was looking for. It has been working with no problems.
