I am notoriously uncreative and bad at coming up with names for things. If it weren't for my wife I think I would just be calling my dog Dog.
Thanks for creating this thread, because it should help inspire those of us that need a little help coming up with a name over the next few months. If not, then like my iphone, it will just be called Josh's Tesla.

My auto service manager named my previous vehicle 12 Volt (for obvious reasons). Although I've never had it in for service, I started calling my current vehicle 18 Volt.

With that in mind, I'm considering naming my red '18 AWD M3: ZIPPER or REDRUM.

Wow, some great names here. My favorites that I've seen so far are Inigo and Joules (which I might just steal).

I have always named my cars, and since I'm an old fart, there have been a lot of them. In the early 70's I owned a red Lotus Europa that actually renamed himself. I originally called him Elmo. But when he got rear ended, the "L" fell off the back and I called him Otus (aka Otis) from then on. My Honda Accord was named Rhonda, my Prius was Pria. I'm leaving a number of them off here because this is getting long, but my current car, a charcoal Subaru WRX, is named Shadow.

So maybe you guys can help me decide. I originally though of calling him Nik for obvious reasons, but that's sort of off my list. I've chosen the Metallic Blue, and right now here is my current list of choices. Which ones do you like?

Bob - after the possessed skull in the Harry Dresden stories
Wattson - take off on Holmes' sidekick
Blue Bayou - as in "Blew By YOU"
Shadowfax - as in Gandalf's horse. Also the successor to Shadow, my current car
Elwood - after the Blues Brother (can't use Jake as I have a nephew named Jake)
Banks - For Ernie Banks, my baseball hero (I bleed Cubbie blue)
Whisper - For the silence

BTW, I'm expecting to take delivery in September.

Re-thinking the whole Wattson thing. If I decide to go that direction I will name it Dr. Wattson to distinguish from @PHd410. That said, my son came up with a different gem, which is now my #1B choice. I'll keep that on the QT until I get a chance to name it "officially" in the app. Best case, 2 more months. If I go with Dr. Wattson, I'll post the other name here - I'm fairly sure someone will jump on it.
