Unable to restart after this drive without key.
New Model Y ….. this notice appeared as I’m driving and Pandora was on … I switched phone to tesla app and notice disappeared. Any ideas about what happened?

I may need a divorce lawyer after publicly posting this.

we had on-going issues with my wife's iPhone app not opening the doors/trunk. every time she would walk up and have it fail so she'd have to pull out the phone, open the app and then the door/trunk would open.

One day I discovered that she had been swiping off the app on her phone to shut it down. She stopped doing that and hasn't had an issue since.

Make sure you never swipe the Tesla app to shut it down.

I'm not sure how iphone vs android affects this, but I swipe the app off every night on my iphone to no detrimental effect.

i read somewhere early on in using the app that swiping it off or killing the app was un-recommended. things may be different now. It certainly had no adverse effect on my wife's app or our shared account (aside from her having to restart it before it would work).

Killing the app has nothing to do with it. Your phone is using Bluetooth. Sometimes rebooting phone, and rebooting car with scroll wheels solves the issue

If it persists, then delete the phone in the Locks screen and relearn it to the car

Its a complex encrypted signal that sometimes gets corrupted.

Killing the app has nothing to do with it.

....doing this will force the authentication with your Tesla account (again) having done so myself to try and fix something. It's not a giant deal if done accidentally.....
