SpaceX has announced that Starlink is now available across all of Canada, just a few weeks after expanding coverage of their satellite internet service to include the far northern reaches of the country.

Earlier this month SpaceX updated their coverage map to include most of Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut, extending as far north as Alert, which sits at latitude 82°30’05” north, just 817km (507 miles) from the North Pole.

However, the map showed Starlink service was still unavailable across the central latitudes of Canada and Alaska, indicating it would become available early next year.

SpaceX worked quickly and that gap has now been filled in and Starlink is available across both Canada and Alaska.

In a tweet announcing the expansion, SpaceX says Starlink is now also available across our neighbours to the east, Alaska, as well as across all of Sweden and Norway.

The company also announced that Starlink is now available to order in Finland for the first time.

A review of the SpaceX order page shows customers in Finland will have to pay €565 (~$778 CAD) for the required hardware, and €85 (~$117 CAD) per month for the service.

The company says customers can expect download speeds of between 50-200Mbps.
