Sorry I just saw tons of posts after I posted. Let me tho that I got a ticket at LAX on my Prius even tho it was facing in. Big brother.
I know this is an an old thread, but if the car was not being operated on a public thoroughfare at the time the ticket was written, how is this enforceable?
Under Texas law, it is not.
Nor can the local constabulary write tickets on vehicles on private property except in very unusual circumstances.

I realize this thread is from 2018. However, if anyone, anyone in California that is, is interested... Stick on (like a decal) license plates are now legal and available in California. Just Google it

Here in Nor Cal (think Fremont) highway patrol et al don't seem to care as approx 2/3 of the Tesla's around here have no front license plate (being displayed). Mine with the included bracket is in the trunk..... I"ll wait until I get a fix-it ticket and then go this route. Thanks for the link. (y)
