Hi - I wonder if anyone else has noticed this? When I first had my car (new in mid February) the charge flap opened in a variety of ways. The in-car screen, phone app, and simply by pressing on it. Now, since the last two software updates, it no longer opens when pressed manually, but still works from both the car and phone screen. Anyone else noticed this?

I haven't heard of anybody having this issue lately, but this was a common failure on older Model 3s.

I'm assuming that Tesla still uses this design. I should check my Model Y to see if it's the same way.

The charge door generally won't open if the car is locked, sometimes it won't open when the car is asleep. With the 2024 Highland models, the rules of when the car is locked and when the door opens became a little more liberal. Tesla might have changed it back to a hard rule of if the car is locked or asleep the door won't open, in order to discourage passers-by from messing with it.
