I'm having the same issue. My luck, just had xpel applied yesterday! :(
For those that had the unit swapped and then had 'fast blinker' issue, one said software update fixed it, the other here said it did not. Has anyone else had their unit swapped and had the blinker issue also resolved in the same appointment?
What are the odds they can perform this service via their mobile units?
Also, this is definitely not a "blinding oncoming traffic" issue, so it should not be intentionally dimmed...
can't comment on your blinker issue but someone on the tesla motors club forum stated that a mobile ranger swapped his housing in 3 hours.

I don't remember where I read this, but it seems that the LED strip is coming loose from the housing and kind of slides back where you can't see it anymore. I turned mine on and looked into the gap and was able to see the LED strip lodged further back in the housing. But it's hidden from normal viewing angles, which makes it look like it's gone out.

Had my driver's side headlight assembly replaced through mobile service today. The "fast blinker" occurred with the replacement and software updates could not resolve the issue; tech said they will order another assembly as it was a problem with the current revision and internal firmware communicating with the car's software.

Got my passenger side replaced on Monday. There were some obvious changes from the original housing externally. Fortunately I didn't get the fast speed blinker issue that some are having after these replacements. I hope the driver's side assembly holds up.

What are the changes? You have any pics? Are you saying my left and right housings won't match? Or just the non visible part?

No fast blinker with my replacement. FYI

Just the non-visible part. They deleted one of the mounting brackets (redundant?) and changed the mold a little bit on the bottom outside of the housing. I didn't get any pictures. All of the visible exterior and interior parts of the housing are identical.

This has happened to me twice now. I'm currently setting up a second service appointment to replace my driver-side (left) headlight due to this lazy-eye issue. Seems to be a serious QC problem with the supplier. Gap of only about 3 weeks after replacing it the first time.
Bummer. I was kinda concerned about this. Not crazy about having the front of my car disassembled with any regularity.

Just got mine fixed yesterday. I made an appointment last week and dropped it off yesterday morning.

They gave me a Chevy malibu to drive overnight...glad to get the Model 3 back though.

They replaced the Driver side light, fixed a rattling by the Glove box, a clean, and a charge. No free trunk garnish though :(

They left me some gifts I'm going to return the next time i'm in that area though (pic attached).

I had my drivers side HL replaced due to the LED 'eyeliner' out 3 weeks ago. It's now dim again...........I'm going to wait for a permanent fix

Mine is the same, service ordered a replacement drivers side headlight, I’m waiting for that to schedule a mobile service. I was hoping there was a permanent fix, but I guess not. It sucks cause I spent money on Xpel ppf. I don’t wanna have to keep wasting money if it’s just gonna do the same thing!

I'm fortunate that the PPF/ceramic installer will redo the HL no cost. I'm glad I didn't get the replacement done since it's burnt out again. There is some speculation the LED strip is not actually burning out but becoming loose/displaced inside the enclosure. Time will tell.

Not speculation. You can see it if you look closely. Had my driver's side replaced and now noticing the passenger side is drifting down. Not going to bother getting it replaced until they come up with a permanent fix

Hi Friends,

I too have the same issue. Right side DRL is distinctly less bright than the left side DRL. It was fine at delivery last March. Somewhere along the way it went dim. Noticed it last month. Added to my list for the service visit.

Cheers,
PO

Looks like my driver side DRL went dim. In parking light mode, they are the same brightness.

"Am I missing an eyebrow?" Yes, Adam. Me too.
