I'm fortunate that the PPF/ceramic installer will redo the HL no cost. I'm glad I didn't get the replacement done since it's burnt out again. There is some speculation the LED strip is not actually burning out but becoming loose/displaced inside the enclosure. Time will tell.
Well, it wouldn't be the first time I removed a headlamp assembly and cooked it in the oven (while the boss was away) to separate it in half (for an HID fix a few years ago).

I see that my drivers side LED strip has also slid out of its correct position.

It would be a a simple fix if the rear of the assembly was removable without having to cook it......

Wednesday morning appointment at Toronto SC for another drivers side HL replacement. I'm on a mission to see how many I can get changed before Tesla addresses the root problem.
Apparently some newer replacements are visibly different on the back from the originals.

I'm waiting until my 40K brake fluid change to address this. By then they should have it figured out.

I'm scheduled in Wednesday to get mine replaced. Not sure when it happened as I only really checked after seeing others bring it up. Need my alignment adjusted too as my wheel is out again.

This happened to me. Driver side dimmed and I had it replaced. 3 weeks later it went dim again. Had it replaced and got the fast blinker. Update fixed it. Fast forward 2 months later and now the passenger side is dim. This is getting frustrating.

Glad Im not the only one who thought I was nuts. the only real way i could capture on camera is to take a picture of the reflection in the window. the bottom of the working bright headlight has a strip of leds that are brighter along the edge, the dim one doesnt have the same strip of leds showing, or the are off. see picture

Welcome to the forum :)

No, you aren't nuts. :)

So I took in my car for the same issue (Passenger headlight brighter than the driver). You can't tell if you stand right in front, you need to be a good 30+ feet away from the car, the technician finally agreed, the passenger was brighter. After several days, this was the response from Tesla: "Technician has verified customer concern, Technician has verified that light pattern is going to be higher on the front right side, to illuminate road signs and lower on drivers side to prevent blinding oncoming traffic/ drivers." Does this sound correct? Does this mean all Tesla 3's are driving around with one headlight brighter than the other??? This doesn't sound right.
My model y have the same issue but because I’m seeing that you guys have the same issue I’m not even going to bother to take it for them to look at it 😂

One thing to note is that this thread is very old and the problem noted in the thread for the early model 3's is that the headlight had a physical problem where part of the mechanism inside the housing would move and obscure part of the light. These were replaced.

if there are still light issues of sorts I don't think they are the same, especially with the newer matrix lights.

You might keep checking to see if your problem is the same or different.
