I could not resist myself to order a Model Y 7 Seater due to recent price drop. Ordered it on 14th Jan 2023 and wondering if I can get it before March end. Any expert opinion how soon it will be ready for delivery?

Go back the Tesla site and look at current inventory. If there is a match for your order, you'll get the call within a few days, and you'll be lucky. If not, but there is inventory (they're not all sold out) it might be a few weeks. No inventory whatsoever means you might be waiting months.

The delivery process is somewhat of a mystery even to those with a lot of Tesla experience. They will match you to a VIN, which could be tomorrow or 6 months. Historically, their delivery estimates need to be viewed with a grain of salt. Sometimes the car is ready sooner and sometimes later than one would like. When you are given a VIN, there is typically a fairly fast and narrow delivery window.

I would note that their estimates for the 7 seater is currently showing about a month longer than the 5 seater.

Thanks for the tip JasonF. I am seeing inventory but with different color. I hope they will assign VIN soon.

What does the Tesla estimate say?

The answer to your question is who knows?
Last year this time if you placed an order, it took 9 months.

Sure, you can hope that it will be here, it may be early, it may be late.

It tends to depend on what you ordered and when they expect to make a batch of them.

All you can do is to watch the estimated date

Hi all! First post here. I submitted order on Jan 17th, for a 2023 MYLR5 Midnight basic. The order was officially logged on Jan 18th (probably because I submitted late at night on the 17th). App initially dated delivery for Jan 2023 to March 2023, and then narrowed it to the last days of March 2023. I also noticed in the app that they misplaced my Tesla location in the registration tab. Being in the NY/NJ area, they placed me 2 hours' drive north for some reason. Called in to tell them to fix it - but rep said it wouldn't affect delivery window. I think delivery time has to do with delivery location on this side of the country. If you read the other forums, buyers in the New England area have times set past March 2023. Also just for bg info, I was initially set on the ID4, but this price cut exponentially leveled the decision in favor of a 2023 MY. Good luck!

I could be royally hosed on the rebate then since I ordered my MY LR 5 seat yesterday. I believe I read somewhere the rebate goes to half after March? This could be bad info. I would have ordered sooner but I was put on jury duty and they put me on a jury ugh.The soonest I could get to Tesla for a test drive was yesterday. I didn't want to place an order until I drove a few of them, so order didn't go in until later yesterday...after probably 100 other people ordered cars in my area.

I took MY LR test drive today and felt depressing in All Black Interior. So as soon as I came back home modified my order to Black & White Interior. It didn't change estimated delivery timeline and also no change in the sale price except $1000 extra for White interior. Wondering if I can still make it before Feb end.

Another thing I didn't like is rear view mirror and side view mirrors are very small compare to other cars and no blind spot indicator which is kind of risky!! Maybe it's just me and need some time to get use to Tesla.

You would not get the indicator on the mirror itself. It would show the cars right next to you on the screen. When you signal to change lanes, the cars and the lane markings turn red when you cannot change lanes. Get too close? You hear beep/alerts.
