My friend told me to be careful with Tesla because recently her friend’s Tesla stopped automatically on freeway and had a accident.
This seems very dangerous

Yes. Phantom braking used to happen.Key words "any longer"?? So it used to happen?
What’s that ?But lately CURVATURE ASSIST has been a PIA!
I didn’t know something like this is linked to FSD. I thought this is a feature for the AP only (on cars who don’t have FSD), like those Tesla driven in UK or anywhere across Europe. Might be also for the North America Tesla, but I was using FSD in the last 11 months so I don’t have a clue.Google it, also Reddit has some comments.
I call it Curvature Assist because that's what Tesla calls it. If it doesn't apply to you, sorry.I didn’t know something like this is linked to FSD. The AP usually keeps the set speed, doesn’t care about the curve optimal speed and Tesla added the curvature assist to give the driver a somewhat experience closer to FSD driving, trying to slow down to match the optimal speed for the curve. But don’t expect to be perfect, IT IS NOT FSD. So why are you talking about Curvature Assist and FSD in the same sentence ? That’s why I was surprised and wanted you to explain what do you call "curvature assist".
No, this is a non-issue in FSD.I'm using AP, not FSD, so I don't know if this is an issue with FSD.
No need to be sorry, I thought you referred to it as a FSD feature, that’s all, and I wasn’t aware of such feature in FSD. I did watch a YouTube video presenting the feature in AP about a month or so ago. It was a video from a Tesla owner from UK.I call it Curvature Assist because that's what Tesla calls it. If it doesn't apply to you, sorry.
I've been on a wide, 2+ lane road twice recently where the car in front pulled into a RH turn lane and my 2022 Mod 3 braked very hard. I was in cruise control going ~ 55 mph. Both times the cars were far enough behind to avoid crashes. The guy turning in front of me made a perfectly normal move and was well out of my lane.My friend told me to be careful with Tesla because recently her friend’s Tesla stopped automatically on freeway and had a accident.

Yes, HW3 equipped Tesla can have such behaviour.I've been on a wide, 2+ lane road twice recently where the car in front pulled into a RH turn lane and my 2022 Mod 3 braked very hard.
