I purchased and installed the RPM Tesla blacked out dual-motor performance badge on my P3D. A few caveats to watch out for after having gone through some issues with placement of the letters.
For both the OEM and RPM tesla dual-motor emblems, the placement of the red line and the letters isn't perfect coming out of the packaging, and if you stick it on directly to the car as they have it packed, you'll find that the letters gradually drift up or down relative to the red line. What i ended up doing was using measurements provided in this thread as the starting point for attaching a piece of masking tape, then leveling the masking tape (it's too difficult to measure with a reference to body lines because all of the body lines have curves and don't remain straight for the length of the emblem). I then was able to attach the red underline such that it was level, then I placed the letters individually, each exactly 3mm above the red underline. For the letter spacing, because the RPM tesla letters are thicker on the sides, there needs to be less spacing between letters (if you look at the RPM tesla website, half of the R hangs over the end of the red underline, whereas the OEM badge does not have this).
I guessed and checked this, placing and removing each letter way too many times, each time checking (from a distance) that nothing looked crooked or weird. When everything finally looked good, I pushed down each letter so the adhesive could make full contact with the surface.
