Interesting.

No. In fact, you'll never know you reset/rebooted...unless the charge port door starts operating normally. ;)
I turned the circuit breaker of the wall connector off and then on again, but the same issue persists. I just reset (rebooted) the Tesla car, but nothing has changed. (Pressing the button to open the lid does not work in any situation, but pressing the button to close the lid works only under certain conditions. It seems that the lid closes automatically shortly after unplugging the cable after charging, so it might not actually be the button causing the lid to close. Therefore, pressing the button to close the lid should also be considered not working.) However, after charging is complete, it seems that the button does unlock the cable to allow it to be removed.

It sounds like the Wall Connector may not be broadcasting the UHF signal when the button is pressed or the vehicle may not be receiving it.

Pressing the button on the handle while the handle is inserted interrupts the proximity pilot signal, which stops charging and causes the the vehicle to unlatch the charging connector so the handle can be removed.

If another Wall Connector, Mobile Connector, or Supercharger will also not open the charging port door, I suspect a faulty charge port controller ECU.

I will test it with supercharger this afternoon and let you know. ;)

Is there a way to commit or connect the wall charger to the Tesla car via software? If so, is the reason why the charge port doesn't open when I press the button on the charger cable because I haven't done that yet? Is there a pairing process between the wall charger and the car during or after installation?
Press the button around a number of Tesla's and you'll see them all open.

[problem solved] I just went to the Supercharger, and it worked. In my case, the solution is to bring the charging cable close to the lid and then press the button, which successfully opens the lid. This means there is nothing wrong with the wall connector or the Tesla vehicle itself; it was just a misunderstanding on my part about how to properly use the charger. You need to bring the front part of the charger very close to the lid. I just realized this now. Previously, I was pressing the button from about 10 inches away, and it didn't work. When I brought it within 3 inches and pressed the button, the lid opened. :)

My Mobile Connector's handle will open my Model Y's charging port door from from at least two feet away. I've never tried it any farther, but I will this evening when I charge - just out of curiosity. I'll also test the range using my Wall Connector when I get home.

Good to see the issue remediated. It's an RF signal and there are all sorts of things that can impact transmission. For ost people it is much further than 3 inches.

Huh, my gen2 wall connector would open all three charge ports in my garage. Some up to about 10ft away.

When I press the button on the wall charger cable, the Tesla charging port cover should open, but it doesn't. Is this an issue with the charger cable? The charging port cover opens when I press it manually and also from the screen, but there is no response specifically from the cable button. However, once charging starts, it works fine.
If you have FSD free trial for 30 or 90 days that is your problem. You may see Factory Reset is grayed out. Once trial is over your button will start working. I have a Model X 2023 and had the same problem. I had FSD free for 90 days. I went to service center 2 times and they said nothing wrong. Button on wall charger cable started working all the time, once FSD trial was over.

Are you saying that the charger button is not working because of the 30-day free FSD trial? The button works, but only at a very close distance to the car... So does that mean that you are saying that it will work from a more further distance after the free trial period ends?
