Hi all. When buying a showroom model, does the warranty start from the day the car gets transferred to a new owner? Also, Tesla mentioned to me they don't offer any gap insurance with any of their financing partners. If I currently live in Illinois and want to move to Florida, who should I look to for gap coverage if I move to Tampa? Thanks.

If it is sold as a new model, it will get new warranty when you buy it. Not sure why you are mentioning gap insurance. You must be fully covered as you pull the car off the lot. If you have end up with an extra car for a a time, then you would need gap to cover it from your insurance company.

It would be sold as a demo model despite having only like 25 miles overall.

The gap insurance would be a preventative measure to ensure that in case of total loss (G-d forbid), the loan would be paid off in full despite any possible negative equity.
