Tesla should make an option to have an electric sun shade, electric frunk open\close, and fire that engineer who designed the rear trunk privacy cover because its looks like designed by some high school kid.
With regard to the trunk cover. I never use it on my 2024 MY. Because I need to put the seats down 3 times a week for my wife's string bass and my trombone it isn't worth taking out and putting back in.
If there were a way to have a cover that I didn't have to remove every time I would find that interesting.... I don't have any suggestions on how to do this, ideally with the possibility of only one seat folded (when we have on extra person with us).

Hey Dear Tesla Owners,

With the 2025 and 2026 Tesla Model Y Refresh (aka Project Juniper) starting to make waves, I’ve been really curious about what kind of interior details Tesla fans are most excited about—or maybe even concerned about.

We’ve seen some leaks and discussions around updates to the dash, center console, and ambient lighting... but what about the less obvious areas—the subtle design touches that make a difference over time?

I’m especially interested in how Tesla might evolve the entry experience for the Model Y. What do you think they could improve or change? Is there anything specific you'd love to see in terms of materials, finishes, or functional design when stepping into the refreshed Model Y?

Would love to hear your thoughts! 👇

What do you think Tesla will (or should) focus on when it comes to interior refinement?
Any small details or overlooked areas you think deserve more love?
For owners of current Model Ys, what would make your entry/exit experience feel more premium?

Let’s get a discussion going—curious to hear what the community thinks as we wait for more official updates on the Juniper refresh!

I just bought a BASENOR Door Lock Cover Protector from Amazon and it fits my Juniper perfectly!

A powered frunk is an upgrade I’ve tried on our first two Teslas and have tried a couple brands. They all inevitably fail (and some dangerously so). IMHO, that’s not something worth investing in considering the safety risks.
Thanks for that caution. I will just have to carry gloves in the summer so I can close the frunk without "burning" hands.

Auto present door handles. Let's face it, the current door handle design only works if you able bodied and have the correct hand free. My wife has parkinsons and really struggles with opening the doors.

Suggestion: Unlatch the door for her via app. Or better yet, open it for her personally.
It doesn't help to unlatch the doors via the app as the door still requires you to pull the handle to release it.
Apparently it's a common complaint amongst the disabled community. Clearly the engineers/ designers didn't think it through or didn't get enough people to provide feedback

Hmmm, I just grab the door edge and it opens... What often happens is the person tries to grab the recessed handle and ends up latching the door. Maybe newer cars have changed in the latch mechanism.
