Do you know how the CC+s compare for economy?
My experience may not be a good example since we're rarely on the highway but since running my CrossClimates installed in June my economy has been up to 25% better than the MXM4s I did have. So safe to say they should be at least as good if your right foot is heavier than mine.

After 32K miles and at 3/32 and 4/32 tread on the original Cont. Pro Contact 19" tires I just purchased Cont. Pure Contact LS tires, with 70K mileage warranty.

The good news is car rides great and these tires are bit quieter at highway speeds.
The bad news is efficiency seems way down. 5% to 10% worse. With about 50 miles on the new tires took off on a 400+ mile trip. 42 PSI per tire.

One intermediate stretch of about 2.5 hrs drive at highway high speed would take the battery from SuperCharger 1 at 90% to 16% when I reached SuperCharger 2 on the original tires after they had 20K miles on them. Did the trip 3x in past 6 months.
Same SuperCharger delta, same road, similar traffic, similar weather this time with new tires I went from 90% SOC to 9% SOC.

Car prediction was wrong at every SuperCharger stop to next SuperCharger. It was predicting 2-4 points higher at beginning of the drive to the next SuperCharger.

I seem to recall original tires did improve efficiency over time and hoping that's the case.
This is more than I expected.

Did a road trip this weekend. Got alingment done while at destination. They had a cool computer read out of the specs before and after, alignment was well out of spec explainimg the previous poor tread wear. Now I've spent some time with the Goodyear Exhilarates. Performance is top notch. Range is comparable for the 19's. About 275Wh/mi in the 75-80mph zone. On rated <65 mph. Comfort is good and soaks up bumps well, plus it has an added lip to protect the rim a little bit more. Noise is where it where it shows it's a UHP tire, again it has no foam so rotation noise is a bit more audible. Time will tell if wear is good but hopefully since the car is properly aligned now.
Have had the Exhilarates on for a month now and about 1000 miles. They grip like the dickens, which is nice, but there is definitely some extra noise. A combination of some echoey and rumbly sound above 50 mph. It's a trade off for the performance, but not sure I would go this route again.

Yeah the noise factor worried me in the Tire Rack reviews. Have you done any real long trips for Wh/mile comparisons?

Efficiency is always worse on brand-new tires.

Remember that every tire requires a break-in period of 500 miles for optimum performance.
Yeah kind of knew that and had read that article. Didn't expect the 10% hit but just hit 500 miles now so when I do the next 400 mile trip shortly, maybe it will be a tad better. But liking the lower noise. They are a little quieter.

Had a set of CrossClimate+ installed by Costco yesterday. Set at 45 psi.
Definitely softer over freeway divider strips. Different sound at low speeds, not necessarily louder.
Too early to really know yet.
My original MXMs were down to 3/32-4/32 at 26k. Michelin Customer Service gave me case#, Costco called in, will get check in 4-6 weeks for 30% of tire cost ~$252.00 (Installation and tax not covered in 30%)

I agree with

these things grip the road like you wouldn't believe for an A/S but have more noise which mellows out around 70. I've got 1800miles on this set, 266wh/mi avg. Recent trip, I covered 282 miles from 90 SOC was like 220 wh/mi for that trip (perfect weather, a/c on auto and autopilot driving the 65 speed limit) and yes I ran it down to 2% pulling into the driveway. It's the same wh/mi I had on the 317 miles I squeezed out on my best range test at 70mph on end of tread life OEM tires from 99 - 1 SOC (I'm proof rated range can be had on the 19's). So I don't think these tires are as efficient as the previous two sets, its just that time of year with ideal conditions. I've seen this set 9-15 wh/mi higher left lane driving than my 271wh/mi lifetime avg on a trip w/600 miles on the tires but as said probably b/c they were new. I think that wh/mi gap is closing.

Just heard Eric Camacho @ecfix is loving his CrossClimate+ tire, mentioned on the new Tesla Owners Online podcast "89 - Sentry mode is gonna get you" recorded Oct 15th, here's the segment:

The same tire discussion segment in YouTube here at this spot:

FYI, Kim Paquette used the CrossClimate+ tires on her recent cross-country trip:
They've been great!! I didn't notice a significant drop in efficiency! I can't wait to put my new orbital aero covers on to see if they help improve it.
after a dialogue with me earlier this year, before I had any clue she was rather Twitter-famous.

I've added the podcast and this forum discussion to my original lengthly article on the CrossClimate+ tire ownership experience here:

I thought Michelin didn't warranty factory installed tires? My tires are basically drag slicks right now at 27k. I can't decide on a replacement yet though. Here in PA I probably need the cross climate + but don't want to sacrifice the performance or handling.

You will be happy to know they do, on a case by case basis. Here is the phone #(888) 553-4327. You can expect about $250. Michilein has some nice tires besides the CrossClimate+. the Pilot series are great, or get another set of MXMs...

My M3's tires just failed the NYS Vehicle Inspection. Only 17,800K miles. These OEM tires disappoint to put it mildly. Tires are under the tread limit on the inside edge, but not far behind on the outside edge. They were rotated at around 10K.

So,I have been looking through the posts here to try to get some direction on new tires. Is there a favorite for the average driver, 10K miles per year? I will have to check out the Michelin warranty too.

Uneven tread wear like that is usually due to misalignment rather than a particular tire. Be sure to get the car aligned before, during, or shortly after getting new tires to prevent that from happening again.

I'm an average 10K / yr guy. My original MXM4 tires were done at 21K Km and I replaced them with CrossClimate+. Michelin Customer Service were helpful after I was persistent about the early wear and that I had stayed with Michelin tires.
Only 4K Km so far with them, but the car is happy and I'm happy.
Whatever you get I strongly recommend getting an alignment. Mine was out of whack probably straight from the factory.

At the 10K tire rotation, there was no strong indication of uneven wear, so the misalignment probably got worse this year. Hard to see when it's the inside edge. The first inside tread band is below the wear indicator, while the tread across the tires to the outside edge is just above the indicator. It's not as extreme as I have seen on tires on other misaligned front suspensions. Both front and rear have the same pattern.

Whatever the new tires, an alignment will be done at the same time.
